Jonathan joined Thurston in 1997, initially as Sales Director before becoming Managing Director and then Chief Executive.
His extensive experience includes over 30 years in the portable cabin and equipment hire business. Before joining Thurston, he was Managing Director of Sheriff Building Systems Ltd for seven years.
Matt recently joined the business, brings a significant wealth of industry experience, knowledge and strategy into our organisation, overseeing and directing all elements of the business. Whilst ensuring our management team are focused and directed towards client engagement, people development, operational efficiencies, in a strategic direction.
Peter joined Thurston in 1994 as the Technical Department Manager having previously trained in architecture and worked with several architect practices and construction companies.
A qualified Architectural Technician, Peter’s area of expertise is within building design and construction in both traditional and modular formats.
Steve has been with Thurstons for over 20 years, in that time he has gained a wealth of experience and knowledge of all our products and customer base and he now heads up the Specials division at Catfoss.
Steve’s extensive experience in off-site construction and was heavily involved in the off-shore industry for around ten years prior to joining Thurstons.
Thurston prides itself on being a successful business that has continually regenerated profit to improve efficiency and service. Matthew carefully manages our finances, ensuring we are able to secure solid arrangements with suppliers and sub-contractors, positioning us with a commercial edge.
Our Financial strength allows us to buy quality products and procure the services of good sub-contractors at a smarter price.
Mark joined Thurstons after relocating to Yorkshire from Crewe in 1999. He started working as a management trainee working within various departments gaining valuable experience and understanding of the whole company before being promoted to Major Accounts Manager. Mark has vast experience of factory processes and components after spending some time on the factory floor.
Heading up the Business Development responsibility for the group, covering the Sales, Marketing and Data implementation. Dean manages the various the quoting and tendering of the projects we look to secure, whilst also maintaining looking to enhance relationships with new and existing clients.
Yvette has been with Thurstons for many years working her way up from administrator. She’s responsible for the planning, development and implementation of our HR strategy, for a well-established and successful Manufacturing business. Ensuring we Implement and overseeing all HR policy, procedures and best practices as required by various legislation.
Kevin’s role involves providing significant technical input to the design implementation and testing. Whilst also producing and verifying detailed design, construction and manufacturing drawings.
Marc is key to running a successful design office ensuring resource levels are sufficient, mentoring, supporting and training staff whilst working to tight deadlines and within budgetary and targeted requirements.
He liaises with clients on the project technical requirements, taking them from initial concepts through to workable designs, ensuring we provide a usable space for the end user.
Richard’s role involves managing the assembly, sub assembly and manufacturing operations at Horbury factory. Ensuring site operations can achieve the required production targets and meet promised delivery dates.
He liaises with our Project Managers and Site Managers and Supervisors to provide suitably capable personnel to carry out site installations and finishing, along with any other required project activities.
