Stuart, a chartered engineer, joined Thurston in 2010 following 25 years’ experience in specialist engineering and manufacturing. He delivered bespoke engineered solutions for the aerospace, nuclear, offshore oil and gas, construction and civil engineering markets.

Karl Smithson: Commercial Director

Karl initially worked for Thurston for ten years from 1992, and then spent four years broadening his general industry knowledge outside of the company. He returned to Thurston in 2006 as an all-round specialist, having already worked in most of the company’s departments.
